About the survey

This dataset provides the data for the 2023 Chapel Hill Expert Survey (CHES) Canada on the positioning of 6 federal political parties on political ideology and policy positions, as well as 9 provincial parties in Ontario and Quebec. The data were collected between 5 December 2022 and 20 January 2023, with the survey asking experts to indicate parties' current positions.

99 experts were contacted and 44 surveys were completed, yielding a 44.4 percent response rate.
